The Dookyu Crown 11.5m Aluminum Fire Fighting Barge is a purpose-built floating firefighting platform for industrial waterfronts — tank farms, fuel and chemical terminals, ports and dockyards where a fire must be attacked from the water side within minutes. Its welded aluminum hull and shallow 0.15–0.30 m design draft let the barge work tight against quay walls, jetties and shallow berths that conventional fireboats cannot approach, while twin YAMAHA 150HP outboards give it the speed to reposition quickly along a burning waterfront.
Firefighting capacity is the core of the design. A self-priming DOOSAN PU158Ti diesel fire pump delivers 10,000 L/min, feeding an electrically controlled bow monitor rated at 9,000 L/min at 12 bar together with two manually operated stern monitors of 2,400 L/min each — three simultaneous water streams that can envelop a burning tank area, cool adjacent structures and protect evacuation routes. A 200-litre foam tank with proportioning valve adds foam attack capability for hydrocarbon fires, and the 400-litre fuel capacity supports continuous operation of 8–10 hours without returning to base.
The open working deck is arranged for practical firefighting: pump set and piping are accessible for maintenance, monitors are positioned for unobstructed arcs of fire, deck railings and non-slip surfaces support crew working in wet conditions, and the platform carries a crew of six. Because the barge is built on a welded aluminum structure, it is light enough to be transported by road or lifted into position, and it stays resistant to corrosion in the salt-laden, chemically aggressive environment typical of terminals. Pump capacity, monitor configuration, foam system and deck equipment can all be specified to suit the site and the authority operating it.
10,000 L/min self-priming pump set – DOOSAN PU158Ti diesel fire pump provides the flow rate needed for sustained industrial firefighting.
9,000 L/min bow monitor at 12 bar – Electrically controlled monitor delivers a long, powerful stream for tank and terminal fires.
Three simultaneous water streams – Two 2,400 L/min stern monitors (PS8/40W-C) work together with the bow monitor to envelop a fire from multiple angles.
Foam firefighting capability – 200-litre foam tank with proportioning valve enables foam attack on hydrocarbon and chemical fires.
Ultra-shallow 0.15–0.30 m draft – Works directly against quay walls, jetties and shallow berths inaccessible to conventional fireboats.
8–10 hours continuous operation – 400-litre fuel capacity with twin YAMAHA 150HP outboards for rapid repositioning along the waterfront.

Tank farm & terminal firefighting: Direct attack on storage tank and loading area fires from the water side, with foam capability for hydrocarbon fires.
Port, wharf & dock fire response: Rapid deployment along quays and jetties to protect vessels, cargo areas and shore structures.
Industrial waterfront emergency support: Cooling, boundary protection and water supply duties for industrial sites, shipyards and coastal facilities.
Q: How is a fire barge different from a conventional fireboat?
A: The barge is optimised as a shallow-draft firefighting platform for industrial waterfronts. With a 0.15–0.30 m design draft it can work directly against quay walls, jetties and shallow berths, and its layout prioritises pump capacity, monitor arcs and deck working space for sustained operations of 8–10 hours.
Q: Can the firefighting equipment be customised?
A: Yes. Pump capacity, monitor type and positioning, foam system size, deck equipment and crew facilities can all be specified to match the site, the fire risk profile and the operating authority’s requirements.
