Follow these steps for safe dive support operations. Pre-dive: inspect corrosion proof alloy handrails and walkaround dive deck for any loose fittings. Check twin outboard or diesel pod engines and fuel. For low draft near shore operation, tilt engines before entering shallow areas. Load tanks onto heavy duty dive ladder and rack – secure with straps. If using deck mounted dive compressor, ensure intake air filter is clean and oil level correct. Set up offshore dive support aluminum boat with dive flag and surface marker buoys. Under way, approach dive site at slow speed. Deploy divers using the heavy duty dive ladder. Stay within 200m of divers. After dives, use compressor to refill tanks. Post-dive: rinse deck, ladder, and compressor with fresh water. Monthly: check anodes and compressor oil.
